What should I know before my first class?
Bungee classes allow for an impact reduction but these classes are still very high energy. This workout may be challenging for those who don't have a cardiovascular endurance built up. Don't worry though, it will come with experience. Athletic shoes are a requirement. We recommend that leggings, bike shorts or sweatpants be worn and long hair be pulled back in a bun or braid. We do offer foam padding for your legs and stomach area for as much comfort as possible. Shorts and crop tops may cause additional friction from the harness and could cause discomfort. Upon arrival to class each individual will be weighed privately and assisted to their station in order for the equipment to be customized accordingly. Please bring your own water bottle and sweat towel. Eat a few hours before and use the restroom before the beginning of class, we will not take breaks once class has started.
Are there restrictions?
Due to manufacturer and equipment regulations we do have to enforce a weight limit. Participants must weigh at least 90 pounds and cannot weigh more than 240 pounds. If you are pregnant you are unable to participate. All individuals must sign a waiver in order to participate. You must be at least 13 years old to participate and if under 18 a waiver must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
Why do you have a weight limit?
We hate the fact that we have to have a weight limit, and wish it weren’t the case. Our weight limit is set based off multiple different factors. This can be broken down mainly into our equipment and our physical space. Our equipment has been manufactured after years of trial and error in order to find the best fit for as many people as possible. There are harnesses that accommodate weight limits that exceed 240 pounds or less than 90 pounds but they tend to be more restrictive and not allow for the movements we like to complete. The weight limit also accounts for the pounds of force an individual will place on their station during a workout. While a person may be at their station completing a workout they may exert hundreds of pounds of force onto the equipment to accommodate the movements. Finding a building to accommodate bungee is extremely difficult. We consulted many engineers and contractors in order to find the space that would accommodate bungee. After searching for over a year, and after many failed attempts, the current restrictions are the most inclusive for the structure.
While we personally, and as a business philosophy, would love to be able to include anyone and everyone into our space it is simply not feasible. In our experience there is no way to accommodate everyone. We wish we could accommodate all and like to believe we are still welcoming a wide array of individuals into our bungee family.
What are the class policies?
Participants will be able to come into the studio beginning 5 minutes before the class time listed. This will start the weighing and hookup process. The first 15 minutes of class are dedicated to set up and safety procedures. The door is locked while classes are in session, this is for the safety of our instructors and participants. If the door is locked upon arrival please be patient as another class may still be in session. You will not be allowed in after the first 15 minutes of your scheduled class time (6:15 for a 6:00 scheduled class etc.). Do not try new skills without directions from the instructor. Do not hang from the bungees.
Do I have to take a Level 1 class?
All participants must take at least one Level 1 class before moving up to a different level. If you have been away from the studio for an extended period of time it is also recommended to take a Level 1 to refresh your skills. If you have questions of whether or not you should move up to the next level please speak with a staff member,
Where is parking?
There is parking directly in front of the Spring Bungee Fitness LLC doors but parking is also available on either end of the strip.
How do I register for classes?
Class registration occurs using the MindBody system. You must register for class in order to attend, we do not offer drop in spots. Every individual must have their own reservation to participate. Each registration reserves one spot only. Registration closes 45 minutes before the listed class start time, this allows our staff enough time to prepare for the class. Cancellations must also be made on the MindBody system. If you cancel less than 2 hours before your class time you will not be credited or refunded. We understand things happen that are out of our control, if an emergency occurs please contact the studio.
You can refer to the link below to open a step by step guide instruction you on how to make purchases for class passes/gift cards, create relationships to pay for others, class cancellations etc.
What if I can no longer attend class?
Classes can be cancelled by logging in to your MindBody account. After logging in you can cancel whichever class you need and the pass will be returned to your account for scheduling another at your convenience. If you can no longer attend your class but you do not cancel it you will forfeit the pass. Refunds are unavailable except in the situation where an individual participant is unable to participate due to exceeding the weight limit.
Can I watch?
We do not allow spectators in the studio for the comfort and safety of both our instructors and participants.
Can I give my BOGO (buy one get one) to a friend?
No, BOGO options are non-transferrable and must be used by the individual account it is applied to. BOGO options are only available the first time a purchase is made for new clients. If you do not select this option when registering for class it will not be applied to your account.
Can I use my class passes anytime?
Class passes have an expiration date of 6 months from the date of purchase. Unless explicitly stated due to a promotion or other special event your passes will expire. Registration for a class closes 45 minutes prior to the listed start time. Please email alyssa@springbungeefitness.com regarding any questions about this policy.
What does waitlist mean?
If a class says “waitlist” next to it, that means the class is currently full. If you select waitlist, MindBody will charge you as if you were in the class. If someone drops the class during the day, you will be added to the class. If you are not added, you will receive a pass back to use for another class. You are not guaranteed to make it in the class if you add yourself to the waitlist, but there is always a chance. This is why email/text opt in is encouraged when registering for a MindBody account, this will allow you to receive a text/email to let you know that you’ve made it in the class. If you do not opt in, it will be up to you to pay attention to the class you’re waitlisted for to see if you’ve been bumped in.
*IF THERE IS NOT A BUTTON TO CLICK NEXT TO A CLASS, THIS MEANS THE CLASS AND THE WAITLIST ARE FULL.
What is a private party?
Private parties allow you the opportunity to have a class with your closest friends. These classes can accommodate your group that fit into our guidelines and restrictions. These are perfect opportunities for bachelor/bachelorette parties, friends night out, or group/team building events. These parties operate the same way as all our other classes with safety being our #1 priority. Regular class rules and guidelines must be followed in order to participate in these parties. These bungee parties can accommodate up to 10 participants and 1 instructor and are $250.00 Aerial Yoga parties can accommodate up to 9 participants and 1 instructor and are $225.00. Private parties have the ability to schedule with more flexibility than our regular schedule. These parties must be discussed and approved by staff before they can be scheduled.
